The World Around Us! - Protect and Preserve! - Week 4 - Day 2 - Activity 3 - SLJ - Protecting Our Own!

A House is Not a Home!
Pick a project!

Cattle water and wildlife!

I picked this project because every other project I saw was about an animal or plants! But this one is different because it's about water for animals. I also chose this because last year (2018) I was is the water group for inquiry. We looked for ways to save water and realised how important water is, for us and the wildlife!

  1. Hello Cathy,
It is very thoughtful and bizarre to protect water. I would have never thought of that and it would never have popped into my head. Ka Pai!

I think it is very thoughtful and amazing that you've thought of water rather than an animals, because water for animals is crucial too. Water is indeed so important, that us animals and fellow animals would die without it!

    What is your favourite animal?

  2. Kia ora Cathy,

Well done on completing another SLJ activity, 'A House is Not a Home', and informing us about the 'Cattle water and wildlife' project. It sounds like a great initiative providing an area where cattle have access to plenty of luscious grass and water. This is important because this project aims to help cattle in Kenya which is an incredibly hot country situated in Africa. Water and food source is hard to find in this area of the world. You are absolutely right, water is extremely important for wildlife to survive. Especially for the animals living in Kenya as the heat they experience is extremely hot.

Do you have any tips that you could share with me on how to save water?

Well done on researching this 'Cattle water and wildlife' project. It was quite hard to work out was this project was aiming to provide to the cattle, so well done.

    Nga mihi,
    Megan :)
