Maths - Tapa Cloth Reflection - By Cathy

Tapa Cloth Reflection

  1. Are you pleased with your accomplishment? Why / Why Not? Yes because I have never made a Tapa cloth and this is my first time. I think this is a good first try.

2. What were some of the most interesting discoveries you made while working on your Tapa Cloth? About the task? About myself? One thing I discovered is how to use bleach and that it can make brown dye white when you put the bleach over it. Another thing I thought of is that horizontal is lines going across and vertical is line going up.

3. What were some of my most challenging moments in making my Tapa Cloth  and what made them so? Some of the most challenging things was trying to get the bleach to not go out of the lines and drawing my design onto the paper, drawing the flowers petals was hard.

4. What would you do differently if you were to make a Tapa Cloth again? I would make a different design and use a smaller brush when using the brown dye or bleach.

5. What / who helped you with your Tapa Cloth?
My ruler helped me and Miss Paton helped me. Also the grid lines helped me to ensure my flower petals were exactly the same as each other.

6. What could you modify / alter on your Tapa Cloth? I would try not to make the bleach go over the lines and I would dye the little flowers in the corners white.

7. What aspect of your Tapa Cloth are you most proud of? I am proud of the whole Tapa Cloth.
