Oh my, you've come up with very creative, kind of 'sci-fi' names for this unusual pond. It's Leslie here, writing to you from Canada where there's nothing green for us to look at outside, other than our coniferous trees. I can't imagine what it might be like to actually stand beside this pond that is 'stinky'. Ugh!
Your suggestions of 'Ogres Water' and 'Green Stink' sound appropriate for the kind of smell and look that it has. But I suspect that there are people who want to create a nicer name so that tourists won't be afraid to come and see it. Do you think that your choice, 'Ogres Water', would appeal to visitors? I don't know....
